Eastvale’s long wait for Heroes Restaurant & Brewhouse is over
Four years in the making, Heroes Restaurant & Brewhouse has opened in Eastvale.
The combination family restaurant and sports bar is at Hamner Place, a partially completed development bordering the city of Norco.
It is part of a restaurant group founded by Jack Franklyn that includes Heroes in Riverside and Fullerton and Roscoe's Famous Deli in Chino Hills and Fullteron.
Eastvale announced Heroes was coming to the city in the summer of 2019, shortly before ground broke on Hamner Place. Back then, the restaurant was projected to open in the summer of 2020.
In the interim, another Heroes restaurant was announced and opened outside Ontario Mills in Ontario.
Restaurant representatives did not return phone calls for comment.
Unlike Riverside's Heroes, which occupies a 1923 building, the Eastvale restaurant was built from the ground up. But although it's new, it is decorated with the same kind of antiques and curios as other restaurants in the chain, including a toy soldier that stretches floor to ceiling and an airplane hanging above the bar.
The building sits on a ridge above the SilverLakes Sports Complex on the other side of Norco city limits. The dining room has a view of the soccer fields below.
Seating also includes a covered patio on the east side of the building.
Heroes – Eastvale has a long menu that includes hot sandwiches and burgers in the $17-$20 range, pizza, pasta and such entrees as $32 chimichurri steak.
Heroes beers are brewed in Riverside. The selection of brews is different at Eastvale, but it includes Red Tractor Ale, the core house beer.
