This fourth generation Highlander continues to be a popular three-row seat SUV for full family needs and road trips. It has added a new engine and some new tech to its roominess, safety systems, and reliability. It's 18 gallon tank and 29 mpg on the freeways yields a healthy 393 mile range, along with a 5,000 lb. towing capacity.
The new 2.4 L Dual Turbo Inline 4 gets 265 hp @ 6,000 rpm and generates 310 lb-ft of torque with 16 variable timed valves, and with the Limited version there is all wheel drive to handle rough roads and/or weather. And it did just that as we put it through some of the most intense winter in California history. The Highlander is a confident drive, stuffed with safety systems that lend peace-of-mind.
The front bucket seats both have 8-way power adjustability and plenty of room and storage.Front head room 39.6 in.Front leg room 42.0 in.Front shoulder room 59.0 in.Front hip room 57.2 in.

Plenty of room available for cargo, gear, and equipment. Cargo capacity, all seats in place 16.0 cu.ft. Maximum cargo capacity 84.3 cu.ft.
Safety has always been a priority for Toyota, and Highlander sports excellent systems:Blind spot and lane departure warnings accident avoidance systemLane keep assistRear cross traffic alertPre-collision safety systemPost-collision safety systemStability controlTraction control4-wheel ABSEmergency braking assistTire pressure monitoringFront fog/driving lightsRemote anti-theft alarm systemEngine immobilizer
The Highlander is a very good in-town as well as get-outa-town family can for families that have busy lives that like to take scenic drives.
